Kimberly Telek is currently a senior at The Ohio State University anticipating graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.  Previously, she attended Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, OH.  In addition to studying Dental Hygiene, Kimberly has also used her time at the College of Dentistry to specialize in Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary. She anticipates certification for that in June 2014.  Kimberly is the current president of the Student Chapter of the American Dental Hygienists Association and also holds a position on the Curriculum Committee.  Outside of the college, she enjoys playing on intramural teams with friends, running, and volunteering in her community. Her most recent volunteer activities include: helping out with Pelotonia the past two years, giving oral health care presentations to elementary schools, and helping with Give Kids a Smile Day. Additionally, Kimberly is also working in Admissions at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and as a Student Research Assistant at The Ohio State University.  In the near future Kimberly hopes to work as an RDH and/or an EFDA.

Senior dental hygiene student, Katelyn Veltri, is a soon to be graduate from The Ohio State University with an anticipated certification in Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary.  She was born and raised in Dublin, Ohio.  At Ohio State she is the class treasurer, as well as, the dental hygiene representative for Give Kids A Smile Day—an event hosted by The Ohio State College of Dentistry that provides free dental care for underserved children.  She hopes to practice dental hygiene in the Columbus area following graduation. Additionally, she is involved in Kappa Delta Sorority and enjoys an active and adventurous lifestyle.
