Dorothy Garlough graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1975 and has been a practicing dental hygienist continuously since that time. In 1990 she reduced her clinical hours of hygiene and created a business in photography, Garlough Photo, so that she could pursue her two passions: helping people radiate a beautiful smile and allowing them to show it to the world!

Dorothy earned her Masters of Photographic Arts (MPA) designation (2007) and successfully established her business in the Ottawa Valley meriting a local renown for her original portraiture and outstanding customer service.

As a lifelong learner and public speaking enthusiast, Dorothy joined Toastmasters International and was awarded the Silver Competent Toastmaster in 2009. Armed with a creative and confident streak, she has been hired as a Destination and Special Interest Speaker by multiple international cruise lines where she entertains passengers with her mesmerizing photography and dynamic delivery.

Today, Dorothy focuses on bringing her entrepreneurial and technical know-how to the clinical setting to improve workplace climate through the leveraging of creativity and innovation as a means of fostering engagement and healthy team attitudes.
