Episode 344. Air Date: 08/10/14.

Hailing from ColumbusOhio, Caiikie writes songs that occupy the same confessional territory as gossip-loving, genre-bending contemporaries like Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Adele, Marina & The Diamonds and the moody, classic art rock of Kate Bush. A blend of pop, alternative, and baroque arrangements create a sound that has earned the young artist a considerable buzz. At age 5, she began playing piano and viola, but then chose to focus solely on vocal performance around age 11 when she began professional training. She was the youngest girl to audition for, and become part of, a selective traveling women's octet. Her love of singing and performance landed her roles in theater productions throughout high school and college where she continued her vocal training. After graduating from The Ohio State University in 2010, she quickly moved to New York City to pursue her dream of singing and becoming an internationally renowned recording artist. In 2012, Caiikie auditioned for The NBC singing competition “The Voice” (where she made it to the second round). Later that same year Caiikie entered an NYC talent competition at the infamous Stonewall Inn where she was a finalist.

Caiikie has rocked out at many notable NYC venues and clubs such as Webster Hall, Fontanas, The Knitting Factory, Pianos, Alphabet Lounge, and many others. She has also performed the National Anthem before a New York Mets game and at the 2013 NYC Marathon. Now signed by NY-based production company, CloudStroud Media LLC,and backed by a rotating lineup of musicians, Caiikie released her debut single, "Let Me Fall," on March 25, 2014. Caiikie's aspirations as an artist are to reach the masses with her music:

"I want to have my fans connect with their emotions.  I hope that through listening to my music they can feel sassy, sexy, recharged, enlightened and most importantly feel that they have the right to take up space in this world. For me, music moves the unmovable. I want people to share in that passion with me."
