Cameron McNamee currently serves as the legislative and regulatory affairs liaison for the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. In this role, Cameron is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to advance the Board’s legislative initiatives and other interests relating to the General Assembly. He works closely with the Ohio General Assembly on legislation to address prescription drug abuse. Prior to joining the Board, Cameron served as a Policy Specialist for the Violence and Injury Prevention Program (VIPP) at the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). In this role, he promoted program goals of the VIPP by cataloguing, analyzing and monitoring injury prevention related regulatory, organizational and legislative policies at the federal, state and local level. Cameron also worked on issues relating to
Cameron has extensive experience in the field of public policy and legislative politics. Prior to his position with the Violence and Injury Prevention Program, he served as the Legislative Liaison for the Ohio Department of Health where he directly lobbied state legislators to support agency priorities. In addition to lobbying on behalf of the agency, he also became an active member of the Ohio Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force, serving as a coordinator of the regulatory work group and member of the writing team responsible for producing the final report.
